This was my first time playing paper MtG so my performance was pretty lackluster.
1st game: Terrible. I got trounced with plenty of time left to spare. However, the dude I played against was really helpful and he used the spare time to completely retool my deck.
2nd game: Lost the first round pretty decisively. Won the second round decisively. Third round was fairly even for a while, but my opponent eventually beat me pretty easily. Despite the loss, it was definitely an improvement over the first match.
3rd game: Had a bye. I was pretty tired and hungry so I just decided to call it quits.
So from a competitive standpoint I didn't do too great, but I had fun and learned a lot.
I don't think I pulled anything too great, but being a new player every booster pack brings something I didn't have before.

Sounds like my night, but I got a round 2 bye and then dropped out after a third round loss. The shop I went to was having issues with their computers, and couldn't properly determine match-ups, so after the first round was over, we had to wait until 4:30 before continuing with the tournament.
If I didn't have to work in an hour, I probably would have stayed until the end, just because so many people dropped that I may have been able to go 3-2 on byes only xD
But my pulls were horrible, so I never really enjoyed any of my games. Only highlight of the night was pulling a vampire nocturnus and getting some cards I needed through trading. Finally have a playset of Vexing Devils.

Pulled really bad rares, the only rare in my deck was Clone. Played U/W flier weenie with 3 on-color Rings. Went 3-0 thanks to lots of opponent mana issues. Split the 4th round to take home 9 packs. Haven't opened em yet. That being said, I also had mana issues (won R1G3 on 3 lands and R2G3 on one color).

Pulled (of interest) Serra avatar, stormtide leviathan, Nature's herald, hamletback goliath, and void stalker. Two green rings, one black. Went 2-2, and as usual my losing games were me getting f***ed over by my own deck.
Eventually everyone calms down, but not before a bank in Cleveland is held up by a man wielding only a stalk of asparagus.

Not too well, but I cracked 9 mythic rares.

Sorry, 7 mythics. Serra Avatar, Jace, Chandra, Omniscience, Vampire Nocturnus, Worldfire, Primordial Hydra.
If only I would have drawn better.

Meh. 1-3. I had a RWB deck. Most of my losses were due to mana issues. Granted, I was playing 3 colors, so I shouldn't have been so ambitious, but my black had all my bombs, white had my early game threats, and red had my removal. I had no color fixing. Plus, I stuck by Hamletback Goliath too long. He's not really a good limited card. 6 power for 7 mana with no evasion is nothing to write home about, and his ability isn't relevant in a format where people are topdecking by the time he hits the field.
Pulled, decent enough rares. Traded a Bruna and Nefarox I pulled for a Garruk Wildspeaker and Angel of Glory's Rise, both of which I want for various decks. Vampire Nocturnus and Chandra were my big money pulls. Plus, I finally got a Reliquary Tower for my EDH deck, so I'm satisfied.

Got vamp noct and no other Vamps...
Got elvish archdruid and no other elves...
But I pulled 18 workable white cards, one being ajani, so I went white splash blue to go 3-0-1 for a 6 booster prize happy enough.

I'm curious at the absence of Labyrinth. You know David Bowie was a 15th level bard.-Piccolo lvl 4

Went 7-0 playing GW splashing blue to take 1st. Won 18 packs, haven't opened them yet. Did open a foil Glacial Fortress which I used in my deck.

I got first @ 5-1 with W/G, notable rares being Odric, Rhox Faithmender, and Intrepid Hero. I got first even though I lost one because round 5 had two 13s instead of two 15s, and two 12s played them(one of which was me, the other was 2nd place) and beat them.
Got 11 packs prize, with Jace Memory Adept and Worldfire as mythics. Traded the Jace for Snapcaster, could of been Geist but someone else already claimed it.
I also got a foil Scalding Tarn for $13, which I thought was the right price, and the seller did look it up, until I found out later it was actually $50-$60. He also ended up selling an almost foiled-out Wolf Run ramp deck for $50 to another guy.
Friend of mine played a draft and drafted a nuts W/G deck with 4 Captains Call with the Soldier lord and Thragtusk.
Also, Odric is nuts, as is the exalted Knights.
EDIT: Also the Intrepid Hero I opened in Sealed was foil, in the same pack as Odric. I thought that was a signal to go White. And the guy in front of me opened both Liliana and Ajani.

I played in my first tournament in five years and went 3-1, winning seven packs. I played G/W, with Serra Avenger (foil), Garruk, and Planar Collapse as my rares. Quite a few exalted cards, but barely any removal. I had the Ring of Thune, and it was always good whenever I dropped it. Vigilance + exalted means I don't lose any defenders, and slowly pumping up my white creatures was always helpful. I didn't see my opponents play any of the Rings, which I found surprising.

went 3-1 W/B, with sublime, odric, and captain of the watch. black gave me 2 murders.
lost r2, since g1 i had mana issues, g3 my opponent went t4 and t5 talrand's summons and i couldn't stop it.
won 4 packs, which had jace and serra avatar.

I played 2 sealed tourneys.
First one was pretty good with a black white sorta Exalted deck with Nefarox and Angel with 3 exalted birds and 1 Murder, Mutilate, and 2 Pacifisms. It was almost like playing with the DotP 2013 deck. Finished 3-0 and last game we decided to split the first/second place. Got like 10 packs, opened a foil Liliana and some nice utility cards XD.
Second one was terrible. I opened only 18 creatures in my pool. I had to make a bad jund deck with 13 creatures and some ramp spells. I had a lot of removal thou. 2 Murder, 2 Searing Spear, 1 Flames of Firebrand, and 2 Prey Upon. My best creature was the new spider with vigilance and Mark of Vampire as win con. I ended up 1-3.

Pretty good. Went B/W in sealed and won first place by going 5-0
It helped that I pulled the new Ajani and Liliana.
Packs that I won got me a foil lilly and another Ajani. Can't complain.
I would recommend always going B or white, then blue. The colors are too strong in this format and the removal these colors offer are great. Green has a lot of tools in this set, and with a lot of reach being available in the common slot, I cannot recommend envision flying strategies.

Pulled Nicol Bolas and a good RB pool that I splashed blue into for the big man, Switcheroo and two harbor bandits off 3 Islands and no fixing. Cast him repeatedly and had a ball doing it. Deck made the absolute nuts first 4 turns in my first game of the day:
T1 Goblin Arsonist
T2 Mogg Flunkies
T3 Goblin Rummager
T4 Krenko, Mob Boss. Krenko's Command in hand to untap, cast and tap Krenko for 6 Goblins.
Opponent top decked Murder on their 4th turn. But it was so close to beautiful.
Trading Post was the other rare in the deck, which was hilariously good at stopping (non-flying) exalted. Swing for 7 with 1 creature? I'll pay 1 life and block with a goat, sure.
Best game though, I dropped Krenko, started making tokens and getting aggressive with them after a couple turns. My opponent Void Stalker's Krenko and drops Talrand and makes a couple of Drakes and brings the game back in his favour. I Switcheroo a Goblin token for Talrand and make some of my own. Clone on Talrand is a two for nothing technically in my favour but it means I have little but tokens on board, though I still have a 5 or so Goblins and 2 Drakes to a decent board for my opponent who has 2 drakes of his own and a couple decent defensive creatures. I pull an 8th land, smash down Bolas and the game is very quickly over.
Finished the day at 3-2 and had a blast playing. Also pulled Yeva, and Captain of the Watch in my pool so a nice number of bombs across my colours (sigh) and a Boundless Realms as a useless card to round off.

I don't usually go to the pre-releases. I am a terrible limited player.

The knights and the rings are freaking broken limited cards.
