This weapon can be good. But it's too situational. Underpowered.

I think it's balanced. It's situational, but it's very helpful in those situations.|

why give up your awesome pistol for something that does little to no damage at all.
These ponies are win.

firing speed is too slow and the cost is too high for something as situational as this, if they made it like the flamethrower/minigun and just let it drain ammo while constantly being fired(and have it use the same amount of ammo per second) it'd be balanced, but as is Underpowered|

Extremely underpowered. Useful effect, but the ammo cost is far too high, and it's a bit too slow.|

A bit to situational. I've never used it myself, better to have a pistol or wrangler.

yeah this, the pistol/wrangler are too good to give up for this.

UP. If they lowered the metal cost to 5-10 metal per shot i think i'd use it|

While it would have been nice to have this on me a couple games ago when the other team was spamming rockets to high heaven, its usually not worth shooting to warrent the ammo loss. At least the widowmaker lets you make up the ammo in damage.|

I can never get it to work right. Even if I could, I'd say the metal cost is too high and so underbalanced.|

Helps against sticky nade spam against your buildings, which is one of the few things the Engy can`t do effectively.

I love the concept of this weapon, and use it frequently on payload maps. But as others have said, it's really hard to get consistent use out of it. Sometimes it destroys things you'd thought were out of range, and other times it seems to fail completely. Needs some tweaks to make it more user friendly. A bit underpowered.|

It's underpowered - but I literally never use the Wrangler...and if I want to shoot then I'll just use my shotgun, so for me it's pretty much the most useful out of the three secondary weapons. It can also be a life-saver when pipe/sticky bombs are being spammed.|
|SuperMegaGuy1 | Posted on Jan. 17, 2012, 5:29 a.m.|
UP. Wrangler Shield > Wrench would probably save you more hassle, let you do something productive, and possibly even have you end up with more metal at the end of the ordeal.|

Underbalanced. only usefull in removing stickies but costs too much metal per shot|

While it would probably defeat the purpose of the weapon, I kinda wish it did actual damage in a weird way.

Would be a better sidegrade if the Wrangler didn't exist.|
Still UP though.
The only uses it has are clearing stickies, defending yourself away from a building, or protecting your building from two simultaneous >107 damage projectiles. Metal cost is far too high otherwise - 35 metal to protect against a projectile, or ~22 metal to repair the damage with 1 wrench swing. SC and wrenches fire at roughly the same rate, so unless your building is guaranteed to get destroyed by multiple projectiles, you're always better off simply tanking your gun.
