Title pretty much explains everything but here's some more:
I can load up the game, find a server, and even play for around 5 minutes without any issues, but after those 5 minutes or so, the sound stutters, I can barely move, and my FPS drops to 1. Literally. One frame per second. I've tried a few of the fixes found by browsing the Internet (Anti-virus exceptions, Config files for boosting framerate, etc.). All my settings are on minimum, so I'm not sure what else I can do. I'll also list my PC specs below, so if I need to improve anything (and I'm fairly certain I will do, as I occasionally have the same problem with Minecraft, especially when running a texture pack or playing on a server) let me know too. Thanks in advance!
My Specs: Windows 7 64-bit - OS AMD Athlon II X2 215 dual-core processor - Processor 3GB DDR - RAM 320GB - HDD NVIDIA GeForce 9200 - Graphics
As a side note, I'm not brilliant when it comes to stuff like this, so I wouldn't be able to diagnose the problem myself. Cheers
My guess is overheating issues or a memory leak.... of some sort. You can try going with super low graphics. Google Chris's max frames which increases your fps. That might help. Your problem is so strange...
I don't understand why everyone keeps suggesting people to get maxframes. If you watch Chris' tutorial, he himself states that maxframes does not add more frames than highframes, it just looks worse. He said he'd be surprised if maxframes had more than a 2 frame improvement from highframes.
So, TC, if you want it to look like s*** and run smooth, get maxframes. If you want it to run smooth and look like it normally would, get highframes.

This might be a virus, hardware, or operating system issue.
Try uninstalling, cleaning your registry(plenty of free stuff to do that) and installing again, also, ltry rebooting TF2 when this happenes, if you need to restart your computer then contact valve as there is liekly a memory leak.
Dont forget to check the heat on your system, and carefully clean the dust from your system, ESPECIALLY look just in case.
Anything other than that would require professional help due to it being hardware or a major virus. Sorry if I can't help mroe than that
Morality is not fleeting, games or alternate realities will not change what is right and wrong if you reallly belive in them. Yes my spelling stinks, quiet!
