Trouble with FPS while farming and breeding

So I am farming now with chickens and I got maybe 300+ of them and my FPS turns kinda low. My game is stable but my FPS sucks. I already got Optifine and turned all the settings to low. Any suggestions?

300+ chickens is gonna lag a computer, that's just how it works. I'm not sure if you'll find a solution other than to kill some of the chickens.

It turned out that my fps got better when i turned of optifine.
I mean, BETTER. It is as smooth as it is...

This is going to sound crazy, but if your FPS plummets specifically when you get within 16 blocks of the chicken farm... it's the sound. At least, back in beta 1.8 or 1.9, the game trying to play the chicken sound file so much would seriously bog down my computer. Further than 16 blocks away, the animals make no sound, so it wasn't an issue.
But yeah, at around 300 you start having problems regardless.

But I turned off my optifine, and everything went just fine...
my FPS was around 60 i think

I once crashed my game by making a 3 row line of dispensers with eggs on a clock timer.
I deleted the world, made a new one, and the chunk of dispensers with eggs and chickens appeared in front of me for some reason...
