|Angela Merkel is the perfect example of a great female leader. (19) | Posted on Sept. 23, 2013, 10:36 p.m.|
|The second article does not work for me, the third s a bunch of stereotypes as the comments point out, and the first seems like a joke.|
Anyways, my point is not that women would make bad leaders, or that we should not have more female leaders, but simply that I personally believe they would be about as crappy as everyone else. Female leaders in the past have started wars just like male leaders. Abused power. Generally mistreated the people they are leaded like crap.
I do think there should be more female leaders, for diversity, but history has shown us that they tend to be about as ineffective as male leaders, usually.
Politicians suck more times than not. Even a normally good person, once they get into power, has a very large chance of becoming a crap leader.
Women DO stereotypically seem to have more of the "qualities" that would make for a good leader, but I personally believe, and have learned, that a lot of that is just stereotypes, or, culturally constructed things, not biologically constructed.

|How are female leaders any better than male?|
Margaret Thatcher was a monster, and all she did was prove that women can be just as s***ty leaders as men. I don't think being compared to her is a good thing.

KeryAdams posted...I was just throwing out arbitrary numbers before. Here are some real ones... He said let's make it based on the cost of living. Where I live, a crappy 1BR apartment costs at least $1000/mo, with no utilities. Given the rule of thumb that you shouldn't spend more than a third of your income on housing, that means you need $36k per year just to live there, and that's about the worst you can be doing. Therefore, by Obamalogic, minimum wage in my town should be $18/hour. I'm not paying $12 for a small fry.
Also, flaws aside... rather than raise prices for products, the CEOs could just take a little bit less money to pay their employees a living wage?

From: MixedMartialArt | Posted: 1/9/2013 6:47:19 AM | #001I've never had an urge to be a woman until
That is not always true. Actually, a lot of transgendered people do not really know about it until later in life.
I recommend finding and joining a transgender website/forum and talking about this. Talking to a counselor would probably also be very helpful, and that is the first step that just about anyone takes, especially when they are unsure.
Also, wanting to be a woman and keep your bottom parts is not as uncommon as you think, though there might transgenders who will give you crap for it. Ignore those kinds of people.
Oh, but most of all, do not try to get advice from CE on this subject, for the most part.

|The Bible is very explicit when it comes to God's stance on gay marriage|
Actually, I am very certain that the Bible NEVER mentions Gay Marriage at all. Homosexuality is one thing, though really, a lot of the quotes about it could be misinterpreted, and there are some very obvious instances where it is mentioned, but has no place being there. Such as the use of "Homosexual" in the New Testament, when the Greek word for homosexual was, as far as we know, never used in the NT. At least not there.
Anyways, but, that is not really what I came into this topic for. I more was just curious: For the people advocating for Marriage and Civil Unions to have equal rights, what about religious homosexuals, or religions that do not mind it?
|What did you eat for lunch? (358) | Posted on May 30, 2012, 3:42 p.m.|
|I did not have breakfast, but I assume because of when I ate this would count as lunch.|
I just had a small burger (a few ounces of grilled beef, now even 8 I think), on an onion bun, topped with mustard, ketchup, jalapeno, fresh avocado, and onion. I would have added some tomato, but I am... odd about them. I really want to like them, but have trouble eating them now and then.
I had a few sips of Irn Bru to drink.
|How do you make scrambled eggs? (33) | Posted on May 30, 2012, 3:38 p.m.|
|I usually cook mine without milk in the pan, using a very small amount of butter. Sometimes I use cooking sprays, but I have noticed that some have a horrible chemical smell to them that can seep into the food.|
If I am making an omlete or a "patty" for an egg sandwich, I use a small splash of milk.
When eating just the eggs, I put on salt and pepper, and either tabasco sauce, hot sauce, ketchup, or HP Sauce. I enjoy them with some fried/grilled onions, and peppers if I have any on hand. I have never tried tomatoes though.
Do you cook the tomatoes, or eat them raw?
