You essentially just keep building up. Add production. Set up new bases and get your worker count up. Continue researching tech. You have to ask more specific questions if you want real help.

|any early game harass options for toss like speedlings, reapers, or hellions? (36) | Posted on May 2, 2012, 8:16 p.m.|
|There aren't early harass options for Protoss. There aren't any for Zerg either if Terrans and Protosses don't screw up their walls.|
Protoss harass is still very potent, but just later in the game. Sending a couple Zealots that you warped in from a sneaky well placed Pylon at an expansion can be really annoying. Opening with a Warp Prism and screwing around with that for awhile can be annoying. Opening Phoenixes and annoying the s*** out of Zerg is extremely annoying. Dropping a Dark Shrine down later in the game is a damn nightmare. Blinking around a group of Stalkers can also be annoying.
Zerg harass comes at a similar time in the game in the form of Mutas and burrowed Infestors. Terran is the only race that has consistent "early" harass in Hellions, 2rax, and occasionally Reapers.
|Blizzard testing Queens starting w/ 50 energy (31) | Posted on May 2, 2012, 8:08 p.m.|
Creep spread isn't even that largely affected if this guy's SSs are accurate. You can't really increase the speed that creep spreads because they're still limited by their cooldowns. The only thing that changes is that initial tumor is out a cycle faster and you can spread in more directions with fewer Queens. I'm not convinced that it's as game changing as people complain about. You still need to build the same number of Queens to use for defense

I don't think the transfuse will be that big of a deal. It's really not that great as is for how much energy it costs. Very rarely do you see an "OMG EPIC TRANSFUSE" shouted from a caster that was actually an epic transfuse.
The Observer change is pretty big in that you can CB an Observer out in an obscenely short amount of time now. It'll help quite a bit in Blink pushes I feel.
I like the Zerg changes in that it will decrease how much players rely on "cheesy" timing attacks to outright win games super fast as is the current metagame. It'll evolve the game into something where things take more skill to pull off when the easy things don't work. This is not likely to be a popular opinion though.
I also think the testing for this will suck. Why would Terrans even bother playing it?
|Blizzard testing Queens starting w/ 50 energy (17) | Posted on May 2, 2012, 6:10 p.m.|
|The energy change will very likely not make it through I imagine. The Protoss and Terran whine will be too great.

|You rally your Marines over right away. You keep the SCV alive by running it away if it starts getting attacked and resuming construction when the Marines are around. You can also bring more than one SCV along.|
The way to hold it off is essentially to pull a ton of Drones and chase everything off until Lings are out or a Spine Crawler finishes. By then, that's already enough damage to the Zerg and you can return home to your second CC finishing or whatever.

Your strategy is for your teammates give you all their money and you alone rush to build a fighting force. Are you really so blind that you can't see how stupid and hypocritical this is? That's not teamwork.
Learn to admit that you're wrong and accept the advice you're given. Stop expecting your teammate's to be even more clueless than you, such that they'd blindly give you their income, and learn to actually play the game.

|"Work as a team" = You guys mine resources and give them to me. GREAT TEAMWORK WHERE EVERYONE JUST DOES S*** TO BENEFIT ONE GUY ON THE TEAM.|
You're the guy who only ever makes topics about team games. That doesn't mean you know f*** all about playing on a team. It means you're bad at the game and are capable only of ever playing crappy team games and whining about team mates.
Your past topics include "Marines are OP," "Why do Zergs make Lings?", "Can Carriers ever work (in team games)?", etc. You didn't even know what happened to resources when team mates left the game until I told you. Stop talking out of your ass and making pointless topics and I won't call you out on it.

|Your point is not a valid one. Your strategy involves a f*** ton of gas needed for a stupid Stargate rush and you expect other players to collect the hard to get resources and just gift it to you because "mureens r gud i giv them mah mineralz to mk dem n dey shuld giv me dat gas 4 mah sik bild."|
Your strategy is terrible and your reasoning is even worse. Mine your own damn resources or pick a less stupid build.

|I still struggle with mass marines (40) | Posted on April 25, 2012, 11:24 p.m.|
From: tote_all | #020
This means you're likely entering engagements that you should be making every effort to avoid. If you're being forced into them by an advancing Terran, then yeah, you still wait to the last second to engage when you have as many forces as possible and as many flanks set up as is feasible for the map. The best way to avoid being forced into engagements is by slowing their advance. You do this by spreading Creep, dancing your Lings near his army to force Siege mode as often as possible, or by harassing his base such that he can't move out until he's completely ready. Only force fights yourself if you know you'll win, which often means just where you know for certain he doesn't have a line of Tanks waiting in the fog.
"Having Mutas early" doesn't really sound like a good idea. How early do you mean by this? Before two base saturation? Mutas aren't really good against early drops at all. Drops late game should be what kills you. Early-mid game they are usually quite manageable with just Lings/Queens/Banes or whatever else you have before Mutas and Infestors. Work on trying to delay your Mutas as fast as possible and just spotting any early drops coming at you with good vision around the map.
And dying to mass Marine drops late game is something just about every Zerg struggles with. Tough s***.
