Hey guys. I'm probably going to pick up the more pricey items on this list (the GTX 760) on Black Friday. My friend bought his video card (I think his was a GTX 660) for only around 120.00 last year, and saved almost 100$ on the video card alone. Right now, this rig runs about 1,200 without rebates.
GTX 760 GDDR5-2GB - $180-250
i5 4570 Intel Quad-Core, 3.4 GHZ $200-235
ASRock Z8Z Extreme4 ATX Intel Motherboard $140-150
2x4GB Ram Sticks Ballistix - $80-90
Seagate Barracuda 500gb HDD - $55
Kingston V300 120GB SDD - $70-80
XFX ATX 550 Power Supply - $60-75
NZXT Tempest 410 Tower - $60
I'll use my Samsung TV-dual-monitor until I can pick up a good one. Any suggestions? Keyboard and mouse are non-consequential right now, and I can probably pick up a decent headset for $20-40 at Wally World.
So, any suggestions/fixes?

Anyway, I think I'm switching over to a PC this gen. So there's that.

This. It had nothing to do with grades, what the hell?
Anyway, India is a wonderful place (from what I've heard), but in years prior it's become very dangerous for foreigners, especially for hikes in theft and, as this poster mentioned, very sexually violent towards women.

Like legitimately, there's a such thing as a wrong opinion. Call of Duty 1 and 2 were two of the best multiplayer experiences of all time. No other CoD compares (only 4 would be on a similar level). Sorry to burst your bubbles. That game actually took a significant amount of skill.
And whoever said CoD3 was better than 2 and 1, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Tardigrades are among the coolest extremophiles in the world--they can survive at absolute zero temperatures, in the vacuum of space, in the presence of radiation, etc. They do this by entering cryptobiosis, in which they expel all water and dehydrate their bodies, and until they come into contact with a source of water. They can stay in this 'hibernation' for upwards to ten years--and during this time, can survive the vacuum of space.
Can the same be said about the honey badger?

All of his albums pre 2008 were the best. 808s was different but in a good way. Dark Fantasy was eh... a few good songs on there. Yeezus went downhill.
I can see why people don't like his post-Graduation stuff as much. However, Dark Fantasy was amazing. There's really nothing going wrong for that album. The only song that could be considered bad on that whole album is So Appalled, but I typically skip over it anyway.
|ITT: We rate Kanye West's albums. (1) | Posted on Nov. 11, 2013, 1:46 a.m.|
This is a toughy.
1. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
3. The College Dropout
5. Late Registration
6. 808s & Heartbreak
7. Watch the Throne
I rank Yeezus so high because I legitimately like it after I Am a God. That's weird, considering Daft Punk produced all of the first three songs. I feel the rest of the album is better. Lyrically, New Slaves is amazing (reminds me of Gorgeous); Hold My Liquor is okay, I haven't gotten into it yet; I'm in It is my guilty pleasure--it's a great experimental song; Blood on the Leaves is a well-layered, super atmospheric song; Guilt Trip and Send It Up are decent at best, Guilt Trip is probably my favorite of the two; Bound 2 is probably one of the best songs he's ever done. It's fantastic. Definitely the best song on the album.
MBDTF is number one for obvious reasons, it's one of the best albums I've ever listened to. Graduation is so much more polished than TCD, but The College Dropout was my first Kanye album (as it probably was for everyone else). Late Registration is the one I've listened to the least, but it's one of his classics. 808s has a few really good songs. The only album I absolutely despise is Watch the Throne. It's too gimmicky.

Yeah, meeting in person definitely would have been better. Nothing you can do about it now, but I know that all of my issues with my girlfriend were better handled in person.
More emotions fly, more anger hits the air, but it's better that way. By the way, I'm currently in a five-year relationship, and we both cheated on each other at least once.
We won't ever be able to fully trust one another again. But we lasted through it all. That lack of complete and total trust, however, will always remain and will be a constant reminder of what we put each other through. It's the only negative association with the whole dating game.
Remember, if you get back with her, and work things out, know that it can work out--but let bygones be bygones and show her trust again. If she screws up again, then you know you have a problem.

I have quite a few.
Three cowboys are sitting around a fire. As the night wanes on the first cowboy, a tough-guy from Wyoming, begins to boast, "I once wrestled a bull that had gored three men shortly before to the ground with my bare hands, and castrated the bastard with my teeth." The cowboy from Idaho became uppity, and said, "that's nothing. I once saw a six-foot rattler cross my path, ready to strike. I dove on that ****er, ripped its head off, and drank the venom with not even a belly ache!"
The cowboy from Texas, Ol' Limpy, stood silently over the fire and smiling to himself, stroking the coals with his penis.
A room-temperature superconductor walks into a bar, goes up to the bartender, and orders a drink. The bartender shakes his head, "we don't serve your kind around here." The room-temperature superconductor leaves without giving any resistance.
Two bacteria walk into a bar. They go up and order two tallboys. The bartender shakes his head, clearly insulted, and says, "I'm sorry, we don't serve your kind around here." One of the bacteria replies, "but we're staph!"

Having a rough last couple weeks. Tried to do NaNoWriMo but I'm not finding the time to do it. At the same time, I'm not finding the time to do much at all. I've sat at my computer non-stop this week, barely getting homework turned in on time, not focusing on a test I have in a week-and-a-half, isolating myself from friends, and all around drained of any motivation.
I have no motivation, and I can't figure out why. And it's like a self-selected slump. I'm not depressed (or, at least, not yet), but I just can't seem to find a reason to get off my lazy ass and initiate my social life, my hobbies, or my school work. I've managed, but I've been off the last couple weeks.
My girlfriend came into town yesterday for a day and we had a great time--lots of sex, good pick-me-up. The moment she leaves though I became isolated from myself and others. I should have gone to the big football game on campus, or went and saw some friends, but I didn't.
Just in a weird mood. Any advice on how to curb it?

There's more to it than that. Media might play a role, but that's wholly unsubstantiated. Higher levels of testosterone coupled with severe mental illness might play a role, as well. I think a bigger problem is males, in general, flunking out of society at greater rates than females, who, on average, achieve higher amounts of success in social and academic situations.
