Eh. It kinda bothers me, I know you shouldn't take stereotypes seriosly but it makes us sounds like maniacs who'll stab anyone who looks at us the wrong way.
But guess it's "helpfull" for the Finns living in Sweden..? Maybe the Finns living in Sweden started it themselfs for somekind protection. Idk.

I know that like Switzerland, it has a really high rate of gun ownership like the US. But unlike the US, doesn't have a homicide rate comparable to countries ravaged by civil war.
Most of the guns are hunting rifles and almost everyone has them behind locked cabins so there's not that many oppoturnities to use a gun in the heat of moment which would lead to death if it were handgun or similar.

The only stereotype I know about Finland is that they drink a lot. Supposedly more than the Irish.
We also consume the most ice-cream and pork when scaled by population.

Not true at all.

It's a very common stereotype here in Sweden, they say all Finnish ppl carry knives at all times.
I see... but why?

What country? And having building codes at all puts you a step ahead of the Philippines, regardless of if they are up to typhoon-preparedness standards. Certainly I think the Dutch are better prepared to handle an ocean swell and hurricane winds than most countries on earth.
When the earthquake hit Japan and destroyed the nuclear power plant, there was a lot talk if Finland is save from similar happenings as our plants aren't protected from earthquakes at all because our country shouldn't get them at all. They also said pretty much any natural disaster expect flood would wreck most if not all buildings. Some older buildings do get destroyed in floods because they were built before the standards were in place. But, from here it's about 400km to ocean so there's no "need" to protect buildings from stroms like the typhoon, so if it had hit here, the results would look pretty similar, if not worse due to having taller buildings.
But I'm not worried as it's not possible for such stroms to occur here (or atleast, shouldn't be possible). Only floods are real threat.

Oh, eh truth be told I have hard time reading Finnish, I didn't notice it was a different word, not that I knew vastata was that, I was much better in Finnish when I was younger but since I don't really use it every day it has diminshed
Same word but two different meanings. You didn't make any mistakes.
But I might be needing Finnish almost every day in a year, since I might start to work in a Old Folks home for people who have dementia and only Finnish patients!
I could teach you if you teach me Swedish. More and more jobs start requiring Swedish here because they're collaborating more and more with Sweden companies.

Wouldn't have been as severe because they actually have building codes in Europe.
Building codes that don't account for typhoons.
I know every building in my country would get wrecked even from a small hurricane or earthquake even with our strick building standards.

Yeah this is actually the first day I'm even on the computer after the surgery, feels oddly good to be back here ><
The first thing I noticed after the surgery was that my neck didn't hurt and I can actually look over my shoulders now like a normal person, feels already so good man even though I still have some pains.

They sadly aren't done yet ;__;
Don't have to go into surgery but got tons of wires and crap in my mouth and will have for months.
And yes it it did, a lot. Enourmous neck pains for one, missbiting, not being able to chew properly which damaged my teeth and so on. Idk if I can chew yet since I can't eat anything solid for 6 weeks.
But all in all, my movember is not doing so great.
