|Semin to the Penguins (24) | Posted on July 9, 2012, 5:06 p.m.|
For anyone who ran with the info as factual, we apologize but stand by the statement that this information was unconfirmed when posted.
Jagr/Talbot to the Flyers definitely made the Rivalry reach a new level with the Flyers, Semin on the Pens would be equally as enjoyable to watch but yeah basically a false alarm by a radio show that lost all credibility

He completely turned DX into a horrible joke. "Little Peoples Court" had me cringing the entire time.
I became a Cole fan when he was ripping Hornswoggle by accident when they returned live early lol
|why are the crowds in WWE so tamed compared to wcw and wwf days? (50) | Posted on July 5, 2012, 7:15 a.m.|
|Problem today also is not only the increase in kids in attendance but if you actually look around during an entrance half the crowd is either texting, taking pictures with their phones, updating facebook etc.|
In the late 90s crowd attention was purely on the show. I was like 9 when my Dad took me and bunch of my friends to my first wrestling show, (Like 97 I believe) and we went nuts for Austin, Nation of Domination Rock, HBK etc. So kids were capable of making noise back in the attitude era also. I just think their is so much distraction with smart phones now its painfully obvious when compared to an Attitude Era crowd
|With Parise and Suter both going to the Wild, are they the new NWO of the NHL? (16) | Posted on July 4, 2012, 8:07 p.m.|
Lebron humiliated his hometown Cleveland fans on live TV and turned heel joining up with the likes of Wade and Bosh in Miami.
Parise and Suter are just going to an average team, and neither of them are game changers like Malkin, Ovechkin or anything just good players.
|PA Parenteau: 67 Points, Zach Parise: 69 Points (5) | Posted on July 4, 2012, 7:59 a.m.|
|miracle whip posted...|
So clearly Parise has capped out on his skill and 69 points isn't exactly an amazing feat. Parenteau is a late bloomer and saw a huge increase in his skill jump, he hasn't shown hes capped off in his growth yet.
Sorry but as a business you look at the here and now, not nostalgia.
If I see a 50" TV with amazing specs for $3,000. and another TV with almost identical specs, the only difference is better brand history (They made an awesome TV a few times) and made in America for $35,000. Which do you buy?
|PA Parenteau: 67 Points, Zach Parise: 69 Points (1) | Posted on July 4, 2012, 7:46 a.m.|
|2 points earns him 10m/yr over 4m?|
Sure Parise might have more goals, but setting up goals is just as important. (Parenteau had the fifth-highest primary assists per 60 minutes EV in the league) So they aren't all just secondary assists
Will have a good laugh when PA Perenteau beats Parise in points this year. I was really disappointed Colorado was the only smart team this year. I was really hoping my team would have focused on him rather than this over-rated Sweepstakes crap that will cripple a teams cap options.
|Which of your team's rookies do you see being on the roster next season? (28) | Posted on July 3, 2012, 4:49 p.m.|
Despres - Hopefully full season
Strait/Tangradi getting more permanent roles
Joe Morrow getting some ice time possibly
|Nice to see that the WWE still wasted "spoilers" (14) | Posted on July 3, 2012, 8:57 a.m.|
|Yeah the only top-mid tier Talent that were "misused from WCW" in my opinion were DDP and Perry Saturn (He should have been given a mid-card type chance instead of dancing and kissing a mop)|
----RVD - Given incredible chances as a fan favorite he ruined on his own
Scott Hall - lol.
Hogan - Given top match time constantly, however after his matches with The Rock his lack of mic skills and age were beginning to hurt him, couldn't handle mid tier which he should have rightfully been.
Nash - Injured on a daily basis and high maintenance only wanting to work with HHH etc.
Scott Steiner - Actually given a bigger push than he deserved imo, horrible wrestler and it showed multiple times.
Booker T - Treated amazing and given an incredible run with WWE, The Goldust/Booker T thing was kinda meh but overall he was given great mic time, spinarooni became big etc.
Goldberg - Squashed the Rock basically, given title runs etc. I think he just became unhappy he was actually having to compete on a nightly basis instead of just squashing everyone like he did with WCW.
So unless Sting ruined the opportunity on his own, he would have done fine I think with WWE.
|Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby (18) | Posted on July 2, 2012, 6:35 p.m.|
Well Middlebrooks is a rookie. That's not a fair comparison.
Yes exactly, a Rookie not even making 1 million is putting up similar stats to a $280 million dollar man, its proving a point how pathetic it was to overpay for Pujols, and how dumb contracts are in that league
|Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby (14) | Posted on July 2, 2012, 5:27 p.m.|
|And Pujols isn't even the best player this year is he? Hamilton is dominating him in terms of stats.|
For $280 million you can buy:
Avg HR RBI
.269 12 47
How about 200,000?
Avg HR RBI
.298 10 37
Baseball is infamous for the dumbest contracts in sports history

No fast food can beat a few Nacho Burritos with a Doritos Taco on the side.
Mcdonalds everything is flat, dry and nasty. Their buns taste like bad chemicals.

total ****ing embarrassment? When was the last time your boys won the Cup? 1975?
LOL try 94 geek, once I was old enough to follow. The Penguins were losing money due to the aging Mellon Arena and dwindling attendance do to the constant loss of stars in return for people like....Steve Mckenna, Rico Fata, Kris Beech..seriously? Only true hardcore fans could stomach that.
I actually give thanks during thanksgiving, for so many great years of laughing at the Flyers failure to win a cup, their fans acting like idiots and overall failure level of the city of philly.
and take the Crosby out of your name its a serious disgrace to a great player.
|Sidney Crosby is a UFA next season. (27) | Posted on May 31, 2012, 11:15 p.m.|
I'm pretty sure the management over in Pittsburgh would be willing to gut and eat people to keep Crosby in Pittsburgh. God knows if the franchise didn't land him, they'd be in Kansas City not being a total ****ing embarrassment.
total ****ing embarrassment? When was the last time your boys won the Cup? 1975?
Funny you mention Kansas City....did you know when your boys won the Stanley Cup in an 18 team league the Kansas City Scouts were one of those teams? Hahahahahaha!!!
Im so thankful the Flyers have given me such laughter throughout my lifetime as a Pens fan.

|C/D: X-Pac heat is legit heat now more than ever (5) | Posted on May 31, 2012, 8:27 a.m.|
|I agree why people feel that Laurinitis, Cole, Vickie is the "wrong" kind of heat for its pure annoyance, but I like it a lot more than a bad heel in general. "Miz" for example makes me want to puke hes so bad at trying to act and make people hate him in the PG setting....trying to outdance funkasaurus?...............|
Heel is very tough to do correctly HHH and Rock really set the bar on that one. (Austin had trouble being a good heel, to put it into perspective) I just dont see WWE ever having a "good" heel again in the PG Era.

|If they were going to do an Attitude Era game, why not include the WCW? (14) | Posted on May 30, 2012, 10:06 a.m.|
|I don't care necessarily for the WCW storyline/wrestlers etc, but it would be awesome to see more WCW arenas. and WWE 12 wasn't as much a theme as a side storyline with a few wrestlers that were once in WCW. (Big Show, Vader, Booker T, Rey Mysterio, Nash etc)|
Starcarde, nitro and Clash of Champions was fun to see in 12.
Bash at the Beach, Halloween Havoc, Soul'd out etc would be cool to see added to the collection of arenas.
|so is it really true?, cenas ex wife gets 70% of his earnings? (34) | Posted on May 30, 2012, 9:11 a.m.|
That's a major responsibility I agree, but its not 80% of a mans lifetime major. I could understand 50% plus child support for any kids still in care, but seriously 80%?! I don't even like Hogan and feel bad for him lol
It just seems messed up and marriage today unless you get a very detailed Pre-nup you are in big trouble.

|so is it really true?, cenas ex wife gets 70% of his earnings? (27) | Posted on May 29, 2012, 5:47 p.m.|
|Not sure if it is true, but its entirely possible and would not surprise me. Linda Hogan literally took 80% of Hogans assets. Everything Hogan work for (WWF/E, WCW, TNA) he lost almost all of it to a girl that did nothing to earn it.|
Marriages are horrible if you are famous, and not much better even if you're not. Derek Jeter and a few others were smart and never get married, just date.
Marriage is just horrible in the 21st century and like everyone tells me isn't worth it. People from my High School are already married and divorced and constantly complain about the wife taking things in a matter of 3 years haha....no thanks. (Although I would with a very detailed Pre-nup)

|Giroux on the cover of NHL 13 would ruin the series (15) | Posted on May 29, 2012, 12:46 p.m.|
|Flyer fans aren't known for their productivity so they just sit at home and spam vote all day. |
Letting fans vote for things like this in sports related is a joke.
(MLB Voting for All Star game for example, I remember Ortiz i think it was leading votes for the All Star game batting 200, One year I think it was Carl Crawford getting voted to the All Star game when he hadn't even played yet due to injury)
How did King Henrik get less votes than Rinne? Tavares of Datsyuk? That makes sense. Malkin carried the Penguins on his back all season and was league MVP. Giroux had 1 good series against the worst defense we've seen in the playoffs ever. I honestly don't care about the cover as you can print your own if its that big of a deal.
Why are they even wasting manpower on this? They should have a vote "Which Glitch shot would you like us to fix?" That would actually matter to the game im spending money on

|Welp, hockey just went back to being irrelevant. (7) | Posted on May 27, 2012, 5:29 p.m.|

|WWE's list of the top 50 WcW stars (45) | Posted on May 24, 2012, 12:20 p.m.|
They treated quite a few WCW characters awful, but the top dogs from WCW were given incredible air time or runs that they ruined on their own.
Nash was injured, Hall was drunk, Hogan received incredible airtime with memorable matches but the guy didn't have the mic skills, wrestling ability for the 21st century. Ric Flair was treated great, but like Hogan it could only go so long.
Goldberg also treated the same but he just said he was tired of wrestling in general or whatever his bs reason for leaving the same time with Brock. DDP was really the only questionable wrestler that I think deserved better treatment.
Sting was easily in that elite class of WCW and would have been treated like the other top stars, and had the ability for a long career with the WWE unlike Hogan. Even a few years ago the WWE offered him a guaranteed spot in the Hall of Fame and creative control of his character, yet he decided on TNA to play a joker character?
|January 2013, Undertaker returns. (7) | Posted on May 23, 2012, 2:18 p.m.|
He comes out in a long trenchcoat. He has a full shaggy beard and a buzzcut. Age has stricken him. He is essentially a merged form of his American badass and Deadman characters. He slowly comes to the ring, and simply sits in the corner by the turn buckles. After two minutes of just sitting there, he is handed a mic and says "there is nobody left for the deadman."
I bet hes headlining quite a few "Inferno Matches" this year

I don't know personally but based on the Stone Cold DVD he even admitted the character he played was awful and stale and looking back would have fired himself too.

|Most of them are all fake planted posts, sorry but if your competent enough to manage surfing the web, how are you not smart enough to realize its fake?|
If its some middle aged guy typing proper and he is "boycotting WWE" because of a scripted interference its clearly fake.
How many people on the internet knew the Big Show was going to interfer honestly? Hell half the arena was chanting "Where is Big Show" was pretty funny
