|Gen 2 was the first one I played, got a copy of Gold when I was 8. Blew my mind. Still does, because the newer ones just don't seem to have the same depth. Sure, the new combat is technically more advanced, but the content within the games is kinda dull. |
Haven't played X or Y yet. Need to get a 2DS(ya know, that name's worse than...well...anything) before I can, can't afford a 3DS.

As for an actual explanation, I kind of think of it like that part in the book The Seawolf, where there were one or two dudes who totally wanted to kill the captain, and kept, trying, and the captain kept them around anyway because he enjoyed watching them struggle.
There's also this thing here, super mega Bleach spoilers, don't read unless you know the ending of everything with Aizen: If you're reading this, I shouldn't have to explain much. Gin was second to almost no one but Aizen. He could've killed Ichigo a hundred times, but preferred toying with him to see if he had potential. He joined Aizen from the start to kill him, Aizen knew this, and happily accepted him as his right hand man anyway, waiting to see what Gin would come up with. He allowed the betrayal to happen specifically for his own entertainment, on top of using Gin's strength, and then tossed him aside when Gin proved himself no threat.

|You know what I want to play? A revolutionary first person animal survival game. (8) | Posted on Oct. 21, 2013, 6:24 p.m.|
Forecast says mostly tedious, with a strong chance of an exceedingly high furry to non-furry ratio. Metacritic in the low 70's. Wind out of the SSW at 15 miles per hour.
It would only be tedious if the devs were terrible. There are a lot of things you could do to make it interesting. Objectively a game like The Sims or Don't Starve would be incredibly boring, but it ends up being addictive and fun instead. The furry thing is really a non issue to me. Without any method of chat or anything it won't have a chance to corrupt the game, and neither will the expected backlash by non-furry. Sure, there would be hundreds of internet trolls and probably weird furry forums dedicated to the game but that's expected with just about anything these days.
|You know what I want to play? A revolutionary first person animal survival game. (1) | Posted on Oct. 21, 2013, 4:20 p.m.|
But seriously. Think Skyrim sized world and depth, mixed with the themes and ideas of games like Don't Starve along with the 'one life and that's it' idea, but aside from maybe a small optional tutorial, there should be no words or explanations in the game. The HUD would have no actual words or meters, but a diagram of your body that would change colors according to pain or feelings, the same type of thing with hunger, tiredness, and the like. No explanation for the colors, no explanation of the controls, you'd have to figure them all out for yourself through playing and experimenting. None of that crap about answers being handed to you. The game would have an enormous learning curve, not because it's hard to learn, but because there would be so much to learn.
Make it so that the game has a vast ecosystem, and every species is playable. Figure out some creative way of introducing challenge, such as difficult terrain or natural disasters, excess of predators, that sort of thing. Not too difficult, but enough, and death can come swiftly. Someone playing as a wolf might try to become leader of their pack, a bird might spend their time learning to fly and finding food for their young.
Heck, you could easily make an MMO out of that sort of thing. Of course, the rules of how to balance it so that not too many people play the same animal would require a whole other topic. I feel like that anti-animal-anything group, can't think of it right now, would probably hate something like this, but who cares.
|Cuboid Society: Minecraft and Other Cubic Games. (38) | Posted on Oct. 18, 2013, 7:46 p.m.|
|The issue, by the way, with adding servants freely without balancing numbers is that there are way, way too many possible Casters and Sabers. Berserkers are a serious pain, and Lancers/proper Archers even more so. Could I make Van Helsing into a Lancer? Sure, but secretly he's a Caster. And you can only use so many gunmen as Archers before it's just weird. Frankly the two official Lancers from the shows really were the only non-god, legitimately legendary lance users.|
For everyone wondering what the crap me and neo are on about, it's to do with the map we hope to make based on the Fate/ series.
|Cuboid Society: Minecraft and Other Cubic Games. (36) | Posted on Oct. 16, 2013, 7:26 p.m.|
|Indeed he would. I need to just make a list of extra possibilities for servants. After reading Dracula I kinda wanna add Van Helsing now >_>; I don't want to add more servants though until 1: there's an equal number of each class and 2: I know just how much work it's going to take to work with the ones already on the table.|

|Neo, you were the one who was with all the GURPS stuff like two years ago or whatever, right?|
Since I've been playing Baldur's Gate 2 lately, I got the idea to develop a new GURPS character template, just for fun. It's a chicken who thinks he's a minor god. The best part is I actually managed to balance it all into what would make a theoretically very feasible RPG character, and one that's actually interesting.

|Nikola Tesla started inventing as a child. True, he didn't make anything great at that age, but he had some interesting, albeit uneducated ideas. Also there's a kid who's like 10 who solved a modern math problem that no one else could do and was asked to help out at a college. There's also the child born a long time ago who conversed in latin and greek with a king at the age of 2 or 3, and knew a ton of the mathematics of his time, but died at 4 or 5 because of his frail body. Some people are just...better. It's rare, but it happens. There are many more that we probably don't even know of simply because they didn't make any great discovery, or were born into circumstances that simply did not allow their growth in the proper field.|

|Best economy based game? (1) | Posted on Oct. 9, 2013, 5:40 p.m.|
|Someone has requested that I find a game for them that's as heavy on economy as possible, aka as many details and management things as possible. Preferrably space exploration style but not necessary if the game is exceptional.|
Anyone have any ideas? :D I'm about to go trudging around through this site's database, but I figured I'd throw up a topic first in case anyone had any good leads to follow. Release date is irrelevant(everyone loves a good late-nineties computer game). Also, anything for the iPad is a bonus as well.
Basically, the person loves business/economy focused games, and is infuriated by the large number of games that pretend to have a good system but actually are really basic and clearly lack any exceptional economy aspect beyond "Buy here for cheap, sell here for expensive, all is random and not actually based on anything to judge by."
|Do you like Chubby or Skinny? (8) | Posted on Oct. 9, 2013, 4:55 p.m.|
|A healthy skinny. Healthy skinny can still be ridiculously skinny, I think people exaggerate sometimes about what's healthy, but yeah, has to be healthy.|
As for why? I dunno, just something about a skinny waist that's super attractive to me. A bit of curve makes it even better, but to me it's better if the curve is from bone structure+skinny rather than extra weight.
That and, as someone who only barely passes the safe bottom limit on weight for my size, purely by excessive metabolism, I guess I have a preference for someone my own body type.

|Apparently a portion of people who have social anxiety hate women (23) | Posted on Oct. 9, 2013, 11:58 a.m.|
|"Grass is always greener".|
Anyway, I have social anxiety, but I don't like to generalize my thoughts towards any specific group unless they super deserve it(WBC anyone?), so I don't really have a problem with women. I don't spend my time hitting on them either though, so maybe the fact I'm not being rejected all the time helps.
That said, any time I'm in a group of people over a certain number, it tends to kill my mood because that many people in one place forces me to remember how worthless humans are. We have nothing more than the value we give ourselves, and most people over estimate their own worth. Paraphrasing The Sea Wolf, as an accurate description of the effect. Humans are one of the most worthless creatures on the planet, our intelligence is as much a curse as a blessing. :D

|I watched one single speech by McCain, and it was enough to tell me that I'd take almost anyone over him as President. I don't even recall what the speech was about, but I remember the way he gave it and the look on his face. It was a face that said "I will screw you sideways and laugh in your face as you beg for mercy you stupid civilians."|
I mean, not that I'm really excited about Obama either. Ya know, that whole thing where it feels like it's the lesser of two evils because you know for a fact 70% of the country doesn't even know there's a third option.
|Why is a heavy "medical device tax" such a key part of Obama Care? (3) | Posted on Sept. 30, 2013, 6:37 p.m.|
|To be fair, doctors can make an obscene amount of money. I understand fully why that's the case and have nothing against it, but many others might say "Hey...we could cut their budget a little and not have anyone gouge our funding."|
And we all know we're not allowed to tax big businesses more because "they earned it", despite the massive effect on the balance of power of an individual it has, and because technically it's better for the economy and for politicians everywhere.
I don't even know where that second paragraph came from. Excuse me, I'll be in my trailer.

|Ragna says more piercings would make me less attractive. (24) | Posted on Sept. 26, 2013, 1:38 a.m.|
|I've never been a fan of excessive piercings or tattoos, myself. I'm pretty sure that stems from the fact that I greatly admire the natural look of the body. My belief is that anything you wear should, if done for cosmetic purpose and not comfort or utility, accentuate the body but not 'get in the way', so to speak. The more attractive I find someone, the more it urks me that they artificially added something to their body.|
Since it's directly related to the body, that train of thought doesn't apply to clothing to me, or other forms of jewelry. I just dislike the body itself being changed. Now, another example is that braces are fine, because they're changing your body, not adding to it.
But that's just like, my opinion, man. Personally, I don't like the look of those piercings. Just clutters your ear. But I'd be ignorant if I thought there weren't millions of dudes who like that sort of thing.
