|If you didn't already know, The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition will make its way to Xbox 360 on two discs on April 17. If you are planning to get The Witcher 2 on Xbox360, make sure you have 15.4 GB of free space on your HDD to install the entire game. It's highly recommended to install the game on your HDD for the best performance, The Witcher 2 Level Artist Marek Ziemak has told Eurogamer in March 2012: |
"That's a thing we want to stress, that if it's possible to install the game [then do so], because the streams will be faster, you'll experience some better visual quality, because the hard drive is much faster than any media,"
"It will improve loading times, it will improve the quality of the meshes, probably also because we have faster streaming means faster movement between memory and hard drives, so you'd be able to load the good chunks and then just change them directly from your hard drive."

|Blizzard is mocking BioWare with an "April's Fool" Starcraft Announcement. (1) | Posted on April 1, 2012, 9:18 a.m.|
|While there is a similar topic already, the way it was displayed is wrong, man this is funny and a great way to start off April. |
Although its Sunday, a lot of companies decided to go ahead and announce some fake projects in order to fool their fans. One of them was obviously Blizzard who made an April Fools announement about a new Starcraft game for iOS devices and web browsers. What really shocked us though was the fact that Blizzard was mocking BioWare with the supposedly features of this new Starcraft game.
As you may already know, Mass Effect 3 fans were furious with the games ending. A lot of them hated the fact that there were similar endings with different colors and that there was not any conclusion that could make sense. Moreover, a future DLC to further explain the ending of ME3 seemed likely and that upset pretty much everyone who has been loyal to BioWare this whole time.
Well, Blizzard decided to announce a fake Starcraft game today. This supposedly new Starcraft game named StarCraft: Supply Depot 2 would feature multiple color coded and unfulfilling endings, as well as even more endings via revolutionary Democratic DLC. And a hero that would be mankinds last hope. Notice anything familiar here Mass Effect 3 fans? Oh yeah, Blizzard is mocking BioWare via this fake announcement which is funny as hell. And it pretty much shows that BioWare has become the laughingstock of the gaming industry.
Keep in mind that Blizzard were not the only ones mocking BioWare. Minecraft creators have announced Mars Effect, a game with an ending that would make sense. Hilarious.
Well played Blizzard. Well played!

|I really hope Sega can become profitable again, because the recent games they have published have been quite good. |
The Consumer Business centered on SEGA CORPORATION is expected to post operating loss in the year ending March 2012, due to the challenging economic climate and significant changes in the home video game software market environment in the U.S. and Europe.
Given this circumstance, the companies determined that in order to actualize earnings recovery of the Consumer Business in the following period and after and return to a growth path, it is essential to streamline organizations in the field of home video game software in the U.S. and European markets, while shifting to a structure that corresponds to change in environment, including strengthening development in the field of digital content.
2. Descriptions of measures
(1) streamline organizations
We will streamline organization in the U.S. and Europe home video game software. This will create a smaller company positioned for sustained profitability.
(2) Reduction of number of titles
We conducted detailed reviews of earnings projections for titles targeted toward the U.S. and European markets and decided to narrow down sales titles from the following period and after to strong IPs, such as Sonic the Hedgehog,, Football Manager, Total War and Aliens which are expected to continue posting solid earnings. In accordance with this, we are canceling the development of some game software titles.
(3) Booking impairment loss on work in process assets
We will book impairment loss on work in process assets concerning some titles after
reevaluating the profitability of work in process concerning game software which are going to be sold in the U.S. and European markets from the end of the current fiscal period to the following fiscal period.
(4) Processing of inventory
In accordance with the streamlining of organization in the U.S. and Europe markets, we will
estimate allowance for expenses among game software inventories, including inventory on the market that is currently circulating.
4. Future outlook
In the year ending March 2012, we are planning to record 7.1 billion yen in extraordinary loss as
expenses in accordance with the structural reform, which the cost is believed to be 4.9 billion yen.
Please refer to Notice of Extraordinary Loss and Adjustment to the Forecast of Operating
Results announced on the same day as its forecast for the full-year consolidated operating results

|Do you think Blizzard will innovate with the new Titan MMO? (1) | Posted on March 29, 2012, 6:46 a.m.|
|Since Blizzard pretty much built the format that every other MMO follows, do you think they will change something significant and lead the way again?|
Blizzards Next Gen MMO Titan on the way
Over the past years there has been a lot of talk surrounding Blizzards mystery Titan project, though as it seems fans can be sure that a next generation MMO is on the way.
Earlier this year, Blizzard Entertainment opened a position as Franchise Development Producer to work on AAA products to help lead the efforts on its next gen MMO. In a recent interview with GameSpy, Lead Quest Designer, Dave Kosak said, We have some awesome ideas, and were developing a next-generation MMO here at Blizzard, so were experimenting with a lot of different ideas there.
Knowing Titan is actually still in development is something fans are glad to hear, as some thought the game had been canceled before even seeing the light of day. An update on Rob Pardos Twitter, Executive Vice President of Game Design at Blizzard, revealed that the next gen title may be further into production than expected.
Many fans speculate that Blizzards mystery project will be tie into the World of Warcraft lore, although others counter argue that there havent been any indications that this may be the case on top of the fact that the game is planned to be a new IP. Early rumours and job listings even hinted at Titan possibly being a first person shooter but for now its safe to say, if anything, the game will be delayed and it will be awesome.

|Aliens: Colonial Marines: shooter with a story!? (1) | Posted on March 28, 2012, 9:01 p.m.|
|It seems they even pulled in the original writer for the Alien/Aliens movies. This might be better than Dead Space when it comes to atmosphere. |
It doesn't look like Borderlands creator Gearbox Software is going to do anything crazy with Aliens: Colonial Marines. In fact, the most intriguing gameplay feature thought to be includedsquad-based tacticshas been dropped in favor of a more typical first-person shooter experience. However, the upcoming game promises modern FPS gameplay and a new story set in the Aliens universe, and if that doesn't pique your interest, you don't have a pulse.
The events of the game take place after Alien 3, David Fincher's continuation of the franchise started by Ridley Scott (Alien) and James Cameron (Aliens)but in reality, it's more of a sequel to Cameron's movie. Familiar Aliens settings such as the Sulaco and the planet LV-426 will be included, as will the spaceship from Alien. The plot itself focuses on Winter, a Colonial Marine who's searching for his fellow Marines, who went missing on the mission to LV-426 that was depicted in Aliens. Oddly enough, the story begins on Hadley's Hope, which apparently miraculously survived the nuclear blast at the end of the Cameron film. When Winter and his team arrive, they are attacked by (wait for it ) aliens.
Acclaimed Battlestar Galactica writers Bradley Thompson and David Weddle are taking the lead on the story, so hopefully their tale will help rescue the franchise from its creative slump. First-person shooters aren't exactly known for their gripping storytelling, but the amazing history of Aliensat least until the series took a turn for the worseshould offer Thompson and Weddle fertile ground in which to create something worthwhile.

The Last Story
All these clearly show JRPG's are not dead, it was never a genre that was supposed to be overblown anyway like FF 7 because the more popular they get the more the quality of the game goes does and the more companies want to treat it like Call of Duty. Just ask Mass Effect.
